How To: Dressing Your Venue With Flowers

With literally thousands of varieties to choose from, even the smallest flourish of flowers can assist in personalising your wedding styling. Let's talk Hall & Co. flower styling...

R&I recently opted for a beautiful marquee wedding. The perfect blank canvas for them to create a personalised day and showcase their style through the use of flowers. The location was stunning, tucked away down a quaint country lane stood I's family home with a marquee set up within the grounds. A cluster of white lanterns hung in the trees and swayed in the breeze as you approached the marquee on a dreamy midsummer day.

...R & I wanted to achieve a free flowing, rustic and organic style to their day with...

...white and nude coloured blooms mixed with plenty of foliage, including Café au lait Dahlias, Ammimajus, peach stocks, apricot lisianthus and avalanche roses.

Milk churns filled with big blowsy blooms and rustic crates filled with florals in a multitude of textures dressed the entrance to the marquee providing the guests with first impressions of the style and overall feel of the day. Garlands created predominantly from foliage with a handful of white Avalanche roses draped over a beautiful table plan and Welcome sign.

Two foliage instillations hung above the dance floor as you entered the marquee, creating a ‘wow’ factor. Made up of two wooden ladders found in I's shed, dressed with Eucalyptus from the family garden.

The tables were adorned with single stems of blooms and foliage mixed together in varied height bud vases creating an effortlessly chic vibe. Foliage table runners of Eucalyptus weaved in and out of White Company candles scattered across the long trestle tables. Styled with grey table linen against gold cutlery and using sprigs of olive and luggage tags written in calligraphy for place names made for a dreamy tablescape.

When it comes to using flowers in your styling the possibilities really are endless. Floral hoops look amazing for hanging décor and ceremony backdrops whilst flower walls create a real statement for photo backdrops.

How about displaying fresh flowers in glass orbs and hanging them from the trees with ribbon or garnishing your favourite cocktails with a simple fresh flower.
